Sam is a farmer/rancher from Calvin, Ok.
He is married to Willa Mae McClure and has served on the Hughes County Conservation District Board of Directors since April, 1991.
Dale Jenkins - Vice Chairman
Dale is a retired Vo-Ag Teacher from Holdenville, OK. He serves on several Board of Directors, including: Oklahoma Association of Conservation Districts Area V Representative; Hughes County Fair Board
He is married to Robin Jenkins, who has taught art at both Dustin and Holdenville Ethel Reed Schools. Dale has served on the District Board of Directors since June, 2010.
Steve Enos - Secretary / Treasurer
Steve is a retired Holdenville Fire Fighter and also owns/operates Enos Electric in Holdenville.
He is married to Angie Enos, who works at Thomas Middle School. He has served on the Hughes County Conservation District Board of Directors since April, 1997.
Clay Meeks - Member
Clay meeks is a farmer/rancher from Wetumka, OK.
He is married to Kim Meeks. He has served on the Hughes County Conservation District Board of Directors since November, 2011.
Leon Barrett - Member
Leon is a retired County Executive Director for the Hughes County Farm Service Agency. He also owns/operates a cattle operation in Holdenville.
He is married to Beth Barrett who works for Holdenville Public Schools. He has served on the Hughes County Conservation District since July, 2015.
Andrea Jones - District Secretary II
over 17 years of experience with HCCD
duties: HCCD financial management, record keeping, conservation education programs, customer relations, outreach coordinator, technical services, and programs management.
Andrea graduated from Henryetta High School in 1984 where she was in the top 10% of her class. She attended East Central University where she majored in History with a Minor in Government. She graduated in 1990 and moved to Holdenville. She has two sons.
Amanda Stanford - Soil Conservationist
Amanda transferred to Holdenville from Bossier Parrish, Louisiana. Amanda has worked for NRCS for 13 years and has served as a Student Trainee at the Marietta and Guymon Field Offices. She served as Soil Conservationist at the Clinton and Poteau Field Offices and as District Conservationist in Benton, LA.
Amanda grew up in Panola, OK where she graduated from in 1998. She attended Eastern Oklahoma State at Wilburton from 1998 to 2000 and transferred to Oklahoma Panhandle State University at Goodwell from 2001 to 2003. She earned a bachelor's degree in Agri Business and a minor in Agronomy.
Julie Norem - Soil Conservationist
Julie transferred from Hiawatha, Kansas where she had worked since October 2008. She had also worked at the Hays, Kansas Field Office.
Julie attended Haskell Indian Nations University of Lawrence, Kansas where she gained a degree in Environmental Science. She was born in Okmulgee, Oklahoma and attended High School at Preston, Oklahoma where she graduated in 1988. Julie is married to Grant Norem and they have two children: Garrett and Natalie.
Harold Wheeler - Soil Conservation Technician
Harold Wheeler worked for the Hughes County Conservation District for 2 1/2 years before going to work for the NRCS as a Soil Conservation Technician at the Wewoka Field Office in June 2009. He came to work at the Holdenville Field Office on a part time basis in November, 2014 and has since become full time at Holdenville since Fall of 2015. He has 6 1/2 years of experience with NRCS.
Harold is married to Mary Wheeler and they own a ranch in Holdenville, Oklahoma.
